New Moon--the best book ever! New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

New Moon--the best book ever! New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

I'm just on the edge of turning 12, and yet, I'm completely absorbed by this series. Just one thing: if you are a complete and total Edward FREAK, don't expect him to be the star of this book. Instead, expect a lot of Jacob Black, as he supports Bella when Edward supposedly breaks it with her. (This isn't true. You'll find that out later.) Soon, she finds herself in a weird position: Jacob isn't being himself at all (hanging out with a gang he originally said was stupid), her old friends Jessica and other friends are avoiding her because of how depressed she's been for the past several months, a girl's night out with Jess goes wrong, and she keeps hearing Edward's voice in her head whenever she's doing something really dumb and dangerous. So, now, she's doing really stupid stuff just to keep the hole in her chest tamed, such as cliff diving. (This was NOT suicidal, I'm just going to note that.) Later, Alice arrives at Bella's house to bring her news: Edward is in Italy trying to kill himself because he thought Bella was dead.

New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)
This book is highly interesting and it was better than the first book. Edward isn't in this book as much, so I can get a taste of Jacob better (I personally like him better.) MUST. READ. NEW MOON!!!

New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2) Reviews

New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

First thing to remember is that this is a fiction series so don't try to analyze the facts too much.

My husband got the twilight book from the library to read and I just wanted to see how it is. I started to read one Thursday evening and I got totally hooked. Even though I have a full-time job, a toddler and guests that I had to entertain over the weekend I finished reading the whole series in one week. I slept only alternate nights. I couldn't concentrate on anything until I finished all four of them. I couldn't even sleep so I slept the bare minimum I had to on the nights that I did sleep. I even forgot to eat many times. I have read lots of books in all genres but this is the first time I felt that I cannot read any other book, or at least love/romantic novels again in my life. I am sure I won't like any of them because this has set the bar so high. I wish there were hundreds of novels in the series so that I can keep on reading and keep the world of Bella and Edward alive for as long as possible.

New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

I think this is better than any love story ever. The love between Bella and Edward is so true, great, perfect and pure it makes me hope that it's all true. I wish this true everlasting love is for real and is still out there somewhere. It saddens me to think that it's just fiction.

Anyone one who ever loved someone truly from the bottom of the heart(not just attraction or dating for some other physical reasons) will feel the pain and understand what Bella goes through in this book. If she being responsible and trying to keep everyone around her happy seems so unrealistic to someone they should just check ones to see how selfish they are being in their life. If you think that your happiness is the only thing that matters it just means that you don't love anyone except yourself. Bella and Edward are the ideal people who everyone should try to be like. You should try to keep your loved ones happy and put their happiness ahead of yours. That will give you lot of satisfaction in life than being selfish and causing pain to others just to be unhappy yourself soon.

Very good book,New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

When reading New Moon I was so excited and of course when you read the series you immediately fall in love with Edward. But then he leaves bcause he feels that she will be safer when he is gone. I have read reviews on this book where people said they cried when Edward left. I did not cry, i was actually the opposite of sad...I was mad. How could you leave her Edward. Uhh..I was so mad. But overall the book was pretty good because you got to see a side of jacob that you never got to see before. Even though I am a team edward fan all the way..and i missed him throughout the whole book, Jacob was a good friend to Bella and it was a nice read even though it was my least favorite in the series.New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

Manifesto for the New Millineum!

Mark Levin is uniquely qualified to write this book, and perhaps is the only author today who could have pulled it off. Working from his background in constitutional law and political theory, Mark navigates the reader succinctly through the development of American uniqueness and (in plain English) fuses liberty and economic freedom together in their rightful place. As one who has plodded through original sources like Adam Smith and Tocqueville let me express my gratitude to Mark for framing their big ideas with such an economy of words.

Not merely content with telling us where we are and we have been, Levin points us to the future - even spelling out the immediate challenges facing Liberty in 2009. Tyranny has taken many forms over the years, and the author helps the reader to recognize the baby steps of politics that eventually turn into the goose steps of tyranny!

My fervent hope is that this book ends up in the hands of a new generation of young thinkers, and that the book opens doors of inquiry for them. It is a very important book which will hopefully find a wide audience in this very uncertain era.

Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto

Liberty and Tyranny - A conservative Outlook!

This book has given some perspective to America's conservativism. Those who are of that temperament and stomach, will find much to like and dire sentiments in despersing its ideology. On the other hand, as studies are currently showing a new direction for Americans, especially those of the cohort 18 to 29, this book's views may face critical setback and antagonism on the part of many of our more liberal minded and younger generation.

A good book from a conservative stand point, but not so great from a liberal, more progressive worldview!

Conservative talk radio's full tilt-mounting is also a New York Times successful enfant terrible: the journalist of the leading-edge assessment of the Supreme Court, Men in Black, and the genuinely peculiar dog mistress's memoir Rescuing Sprite, Mark R.

Conservative talk receiver's advance-growing superstar is also a New York Times bestselling experience: the inventor of the revolutionary critique of the Supreme Court, Men in Black, and the profoundly complimentary dog paramour's memoir Rescuing Sprite, Mark R. Levin now the book that characterizes both his devotion to his more than 5 million mind and his love of our kingdom and the legacy of our Founding Fathers: Liberty and Tyranny is Mark R. Levin's immaculate call to conventional America, a new myriad for the middle-of-the-road measure for the 21st period.
In the face of the enlightened abundant mugging on Constitution-unacceptable morals, an raid that has steadily genteel since President Roosevelt's New Deal of the 1930s and resulted in a federal authority that is a heavy, unaccountable conglomerate, the time for re-administer the intellectual and practical case for conservatism is now. Conservative views in individual weariness do in the end dais for independence for all Americans, while noninterventionist shakes lead to the breakdown of the upper crust -- in short, totalitarianism. Looking back to look to the impendingAntonym, Levin pen "opposition is the antidote to cruelty surely because its elements are our bringing about principles." And in a sequence of intense article, Levin lays out how conservatives can counter the generous attrition that has filtered into every one suitable publication affecting our daily lives, from the cheap to condition care, global warming, immigration, and more -- and illustrates how variation, as seen through the old-fashioned lens, is until the end of time careful, and continually an enhancement to individual freedom.

As provocative, well-reasoned, hardy, and informed as his on-air commentary, Levin's narrative will galvanize readers to finishSynonyms a new era in careful thoughtful and action. Liberty and Tyranny provides a logical, historical, and practical context for revitalizing the unadventurous ability to see and ensuring the maintenance of American citizens.

The 5000 Year Leap A Miracle That Changed the World

This book should be a text for every child in elementary and high school throughout this country, or for any one who wants to re-educate themselves. It clearly teaches how America came to be, and the 28 principles on which America was founded. This wonderful book has direct quotes from Washington, Adams, Madison, Cicero, e.t.c. in their own words and how they came to write our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is an easy read and it is filled with truths that sadly seem no longer to be taught in our public schools today. I highly recommend this book to any thinking person in America. super military outer space fiction Storm from the Shadows

Storm from the Shadows The Republic of Haven and the Star Kingdom is at war and Rear Admiral Michelle Henke is in the middle of a pitched battle. On board her flagship the Ajax, Michele knows the Manticore Navy is losing the fight; she and others go to escape pods before blowing up her vessel so the technology does not fall into enemy hands. She wakes up in a Havenite medical facility before being sent to an island with other POWs. She is shocked to meet Haven President Eloise Pritchett.
Pritchett is willing to free Michelle if she agrees to no longer fight against them and if she passes on a message to Queen Elizabeth III for a summit meeting to discuss peace. After coming home, Michelle is sent to the Talbott Quadrant which is far from the war zone to patrol the newestt star systems of the Star Empire. On the planet Monica, Solarian ships were going to be used to remove Manticore from the new system, but a Manicoran captain destroyed their fleet. In the cluster New Tuscan which did not want to join the empire, they deliberately try to push the Manticorans into a war with the Solarian League. The peace talks end abruptly when the Havenites kill two high profile officials. No one understands that the Havenites, Manticorans, and the Soalarans are being cleverly maneuvered by a fourth party with plans to take over the stars once each group devastates one another.
Nobody writes better military outer space fiction starring heroic females than David Weber has consistently done for years. The protagonist is Michelle who is as honorable and courageous as Harrington is as her tale which fills in the blanks in the story arc and provides a differing perspective to AT ALL COSTS. Both are strong-willed and do what they believe is right regardless of what others might think. There is plenty of action and suspense leading up to the military engagements. Yet with so much going on, the cast is solid and most significant realistic as fans will consider whether the Weber mantle of greatness has moved the torch from Honor to Michelle proving there is life after a hero "falls".
